Title: Burbank Plating ?
Post by: bpossel on December 19, 2007, 12:30:04
Has anyone used Burbank Plating (CA) for any Cadmium replating?

Just curious on any pros, cons, etc...

Thanks!
Bob

Bob,

I tried to use Burbank for a few items, but it sounded like they didn't or couldn't do them because they were either too big for their process; involved too much hand work, or something.  However, they referred me "just down the street" to Prime Plating.  They did a great job for me, and Tom Rose (TR) from Boise used them recently, too.

Prime stripped some parts, and did both regular (silver) CAD as well as a yellow chromate (gold) CAD as well.

So, bottom line--if Burbank can't or won't do it, you'll have success with Prime.  http://www.prime-plating.com/

Personally I would not go anywhere else.  Service was great and price too.  Can't ask for more.
