Not really my thing, but this guy makes air suspensions for various classic cars. They have been looking for a pagoda client. Not sure if they've ever found one. Moving on from the aesthetics, suppose one had air springs at a stock ride height. Seems like it would be easier to accomplish one's desired stance if it is different from stock. Likewise, some prefer the glide that air suspension gives you over bumps. Looks like one can expect something around $1500-$2000.

Again, at stock height, this might be a desirable choice for those more on the touring side.

Also, a German option: https://www.go-low.de/de/mercedes-benz-w108-w109-w113-s-klasse-pagode-streetec-performance-35220393-35220626.html

Edit:

Additionally, RPR-Motors in Germany offers an air suspension kit. See here: https://rpr-motors.com/57-1-R-Ride.html As they say, the conversion costs about 6k Euros. I agree that this is not too bad of a price. Controls are hidden in a pretty slick way out-of-sight in the glovebox and the module appears to sit where the spare ordinarily would be. Pretty nice stance and height on the pictured car.

I appreciate it exists, and appreciate that people are keeping these cars on the road. I discovered this in a roundabout way. An expensive piece of molding snapped on my M4's convertible top. I googled "S44-swapped E9" (implications speak for themselves lmao) and for some reason got a Pinterest link to an S44-swapped 2002 (yoooo....), which led to an E9 with this suspension, and color me surprised when I saw the Pagodas on the guy's instagram.

Amended with information about RPR's air ride, which appears to be the best of the bunch.
