I need to replace my lower oil cooler hose. The one with the metal connection that attaches to the lower left side of the radiator. Mine has the 27x22 millimeter fittings. Is there any trick to the replacement or do you just loosen each end and replace with the new hose and fittings.

Its a good idea to use two wrenches, one on the hose fitting and the other on the fitting on the oil cooler. I think the oil cooler fitting is pretty stout but if they've been attached for a long time, you could twist the fitting off the oil cooler. I usually put a little anti-seize on the fitting when I reattach.

Thanks for the tips

CAUTION!
Removal of the engine oil cooler hose from the oil cooler will often result in the threads on the oil cooler tearing.
I use a dremel to cut two diametrically opposed slots in the nut so as to split it and remove it from the cooler without turning it.

I agree with the voice of experience (Stick), especially since you're replacing the hose. When I change oil I usually drain here as well which is why I suggest anti-seize - each time)
