Hi,
Afaik original nuts are 9mm.

And yes, the blue nuts should be 9mm. .355" = 9mm. A few years ago we did a project here where we created new 3D printed nuts. See print attached. These were very close copies to the originals.

Ok I'll try 9mm...

It always amazes me that in non-metric measurements countries, dimensions of parts and items on metric vehicles are attempted to be called out in standard values. I have a couple of Japanese bikes and the forums are full of guys who want to quote dimensions in inches. :o

When I design things, I can relate to inch measurements because that is what I grew up with and .001" means more to me in my head than .0254mm. Given that, I usually try to convert when metric is used such as with Euro cars. Pretty easy to convert and I hope most know how to do that.

Key thing, I guess, is what you grew up with, as you say. However, I find it easier to tell that a 14mm wrench/nut is larger than a 12mm wrench/nut as opposed to tell if a 5/8" is larger or smaller than a 9/16". Besides, the precise measurements on our cars are metric and a conversion to "standard" is always an approximation and a perfect fit would be a coincidence.
