Title: fuel pump for my 280SE w108 brushes

I thought I would put this out there as a word of caution. Fuel stopped pumping about 4 months ago. Opened pump and saw I needed brushes so I replaced them. The armature was real nice and smooth as I suspected because I sent it to Bob Youngman about three years ago and he had it rewound. The brushes lasted those three years of daily driving. Last week my fuel stopped again. Took pump out the brushes were totally worn out. Armature was still good and smooth no ridges. I forget where I got those brushes but they were a reputable company. So I just thought I would warm everyone.

Brushes have different compositions of alloy and carbon. Brushes should last way longer than that.  If you still need some brushes contact me 630 903 9877. Bob. and thank you for compliment on armature we actually wind them tighter than original due to better glues available now.
