This car isn't pristine and a few details have been lost but it isn't a bad reference for anyone doing a restoration of a Steel oil filler cap 280SL.

So I have a 280SL 1970 and my oil cap does not have the OEL lettering nor the Mercedes logo. Does that mean mine must have been replaced at some point? otherwise it looks the same as this with German lettering on the back.
