Title: paint protection film on a pagoda
Post by: johnk on March 31, 2022, 01:58:58
I had the Expel paint protection film on the front of my jaguar and loved it. I will
Be ready soon to do at least the front end of my 280.  Has anyone done this on their pagoda and how difficult was it to match the curves around our head lights?  Not many modern cars are as curvy as the front of ours.

I have had three newer cars with the PPF. The first two were installed by a dealers and the parting line was noticeable (thicker material). You could tell the look was different versus the paint finish.

The third was done by a professional detaiier. I was stunned by how invisible the film was and by how thin it was. I could barely see the parting line. The detailer explained that the one he installed is a much thinner material but superior to the thicker one. I would imagine the thinner film would be more conformable to the curves on the Pagodas and Mercedes of the 60s.
