This is the original speedometer of my November 1967 Californian 250 SL which I swapped for a km/h European speedo. It is in very good condition with no scratches on the glass, the chrome ring is if good condition with some minor marks that can most likely be cleaned. It will be yours for €390 + shipping costs from France.

Can you say what the rear diff ratio was on the car ?

There should be a number stamped on the back like W=xxxx and that will tell you what ratio the speedometer is geared for. For example W=1520 would correspond to a 4.08 rear axle ratio.
