I wouldn't use that. :-[
Original 250/280 SL turn signal switches (late= A002 545 2924) had engraved inscriptions which were carefully whitened afterwards.
Original 230/250 SL turn signal switches (= early, A001 545 5524) had no inscriptions at all.
Repro turn signal switches, both types, always have printed inscriptions.
There were no decals used on original switches...;
if the inscriptions on the 280 switches become fade (which rarely occurs), carefully apply a selected little bit of white paint again into the engraved inscriptions or leave it as is (weathered but original!) .
If your repro loses the paint ... it's most likely time to get another switch anyway.
Just live with it.
