Title: Screen wash pipe route

Right hand drive 230 SL, I'd like to reinstate the screen wash delivery pipe which was removed some time ago, From under the cowl I assume that it goes through the hole into the air box. Does it then go inside the car then re emerge in the vicinity of the wiper motor to go to the pump?
There is a hole below the wiper motor that I've put the bonnet release cable through, is this correct?  Any guidance would be appreciated
