This is a great overview of models from the ‘70 through the ‘80’s.  That metallic blue pagoda is absolutely stunning!   I was quite impressed with the 450SEL as well.  The entire collection is “drool over” for sure. Dan Lucas definitely is an enthusiast who knows the marque.

It's an odd collection of what most would say are mostly not valuable cars. Some of them are for sure, but most mid '70's to early '80's cars were junk because almost no one made good cars during that time period. Big '70's sedans just don't register for most collectors so I'm going to say it's kind of neat that someone would make the effort.

I have changed my attitude regarding what is valuable/collectible/desirable quite a bit over the last few years. The issue is, as prices for the top cars move into multi-million Dollar ranges, all the others are following. As people grow older, cars that were popular when they were young become popular again. A few examples are Alfa Romeo Spiders and GTVs, BMW 02s and Porsche 914s.
These were considered more or less junk some 10 years ago. Look what they are bringing now. And then there is that ever ongoing discussion about what is Vintage or Classic :P :o ;D
