Title: Vertical spare wheel well
Post by: fin230sl on December 30, 2021, 18:37:00
Hello,

Looking for info on the vertical spare wheel well. Pics for clarification...

1. There are two holes. Are these holes supposed to have some kind of drain plugs?

2. On the bigger bottom hole, I have a fold/dent on the well. It looks so symmetrical that it makes me think maybe it is supposed to be there?

Couldn't find anything about these on the forum so any info/details would be appreciated.

Thank you and happy holidays!

Excellent! Thank you Pawel. For some reason that topic didn't pop up while I searched for this.

So, if I assume correctly, A 110 987 00 39/A 000 997 33 20 would probably be for the smaller/higher hole and the https://www.sls-hh-shop.de/main/en/mercedes-280-500sl-c-r-c107-/54-a-electric-body/54-b-61-rubbergrommets/grommet-4-20mm-1-hole-drain-p-8807 for the bottom hole.

Now that bottom grommet shape makes me further think that the dent/fold is supposed to be on the well. Anyone with any more info about this?
