Come January 1st, 2022, i will be handing over my Membership Admin responsibilities to George McDonald in Brisbane, Australia after a decade or so of doing the task of managing all International memberships other than the Americas.
It has been an interesting period of expansion and during my time in the position i have had the opportunity to be able to travel to nearly every PUB, Pagodafest and the European event every year and meet many of the members in person. I have been fortunate to have had contact with both Paul Bracq during the 50th year celebrations and meeting his son during a French gathering. I also got to tick off a bucket list item by taking my Pagoda to USA and Canada for a four month 16,000km drive and meeting many many great Pagoda people just before Covid changed everything. There have been members who have lent me a Pagoda during my visits to the various countries, others who have freely given me parts needed, demonstrating the close relationships and generosity shown between Pagoda owners through out the world.
It has been most rewarding meeting many of you around the world and i would encourage other Full Members to consider helping in the running of this fantastic Group either through assisting or organising meetings of fellow Pagoda owners or as a Board Member. I will continue to be a moderator and an Audit Committee member in the background.
I step back now to allow others to be part of the Pagoda Board administration but remain a dedicated member of the Group.
Thankyou to all who have helped me over the years including filling in when i have been on my ‘walkabout’ Pagoda travels.

Glad I was one of your early stops during your USA bucket list tour while your pagoda was still on a ship somewhere on the west coast of USA.

Garry, Thank you seem like such inadequate words for the counsel, wisdom, and dedication you have given this organization. From the my very first contact with this group, through our financial challenges, through our incorporation, through my tenure as President, with your wary eye on the integrity of this forum, you have been a rock. Much of the success we enjoy today was built with your labor. I am so very glad you will continue moderating and keep your involvement in other ways. I join all those others with my gratitude for the thousands of hours you have given us freely.

Thank you! Your work for this group has been inspiring, you have helped so many both directly and indirectly through your tireless devotion to this group.
I am glad we got a chance to meet in person.

Thanks Garry. It was nice to have you and Kate over for a few days during your tour. Your " Trans, Plains, and Automobiles " story of how your car was shipped all over the world before finally arriving in LA has to be one of the best I've ever heard. Thanks for sharing that with us that day.

Thankyou everyone for your kind words.
It was a great excuse to go for a drive in the Pagoda to post the mail each week, 50km round trip but the PO box was only at the next corner…..
It will be like sailing into semi retirement..😎😎😎

Hey Garry,
I know I am late to the party (I haven't been on the forum as much as in the past), but I also would like to thank you for your hard work and friendship. I'm assuming the friendship will continue. ;D
I do know what the job entails since I did it for a couple of years. It's not the hardest work, but it does take time.
And, as we all age, we realize how important time is .......
Take care and "enjoy the ride" as we like to say.
Best Regards,
Mark

Gary you have done an outstanding job, a real asset to the Pagoda club. I agree with you time to relax and just be a member. I know your decision was hard, as my was years ago as a board member. Enjoy and hopefully we can meet up again in the future.
