Title: Bosch blue coil logos.
Post by: Shvegel on December 11, 2021, 11:15:34
After doing a ton of research I think I have answered a perplexing question.  I have often wondered what the correct logos were for the blue ignition coil.  I have seen pictures of several original coils but the logos have always been gone.  However, the original logos are always gone leaving only some vestige of glue behind.  This glue is always in the form of a rectangle above and a diamond shape below.  I finally found what I was looking for. An original coil that was date coded to 1970.  Notice the logos are frayed and beginning to fall off because they are printed on paper rather than vinyl. This would explain why I was never able to see an original in the wild.

Here is the 1970 dated Bosch coil:

I have recreated the Bosch blue decals for you.  The ones on eBay were not quite right.
best regards

In 1970 I would have thought the label would say “Made in West Germany”
