Where does the time go! One year tomorrow will be the passing of Naj Jesani, who was once the w113 Pagoda Captain. Today I was invited to join Meena, his lovely wife, with some of the family and friends to pay our respects at the cemetery. Afterwards some of us went back too Mercedes Benz World for some refreshments and to have a general chit chat. In the club trophy cabinet there is the glass Pagoda cup with Naj’s name on it. Unfortunately because of the way it was positioned in the cabinet we couldn’t see it. So after speaking to a fantastic lady there she got the keys to the cabinet and let Meena see his name on it for one more time and to hold the trophy for a group photo. It was a really nice fitting moment for all the family.

I am glad to have met him personally.

Good to see that you are still remembering him actively and involving Meena and his family in the process. And thank you for the update here to us all!

A very great and humble man, sorely and surely missed by all who knew him. RIP, my friend.

I too met him, i think it was Essen many years back, he definitely had a aura or maybe even a karma about him. I'm sad to read this post.

I only met Naj a couple of times but found him to be very nice fella.

And the man knew his stuff! I still have a small rubber tool he gave me which is useful for removing bulbs from the instrument cluster. I had the pleasure of his driving my car after I installed the 5-speed, and he let me drive his car when I visited in London. Meena is a truly wonderful person as well. Together, the were the nicest couple you could ever hope to meet.
