Original tank with the flower pot. 113-470-07-01
I took it out of my 1970 280SL and had it boiled out, coated, and then I did 2 coats of a frame/chassis rust prevent.
The guy who did boil out the coating (Red Coat brand) for me wasn't very good. The tank needs to be boiled out again. The coating isn't holding up. Vent holes breath but I would run them through again with a guitar string right after cleaning.
Tank needs some more work.

I replaced this with a Dansk because I had to keep the effort and clock moving forward. I have the Dansk box. FYI - Pelican charged me $223 shipping from Louisiana to New Hampshire.
