Some years ago I saw first time this car on a YT video. Since this time I still think about such project. I was even trying to contact this person to get some more information, but without success. Maybe in some years we will be forced by law to go electric?

Funny about this, to me at least, is that the lister/seller's location is shown as within 1 km of our yacht in the marina, in Marina del Rey which neighbours Venice Beach. If that is correct, I can go have a face-to-face chat with the guy/lady.
I expect that synthetic fuels will remain available so we can run our oldtimers, for which there likely will be exemptions to 'no more fossile fuel automobiles' that's been signed into law in more and more countries. I think we just had this discussion in another thread. But equally interesting will be these EV conversions, also as rebuild parts become scarcer and even more expensive. With the huge increases in volume of production of motors, controllers, chargers and batteries, the prices of EV conversions, at least the basic hardware, will likely plummet over the coming years. So it may become a fairly easy thing to do before too long.

YUK - to be totally honest.
Red interior with brown seats. How much of the rest of the car is basturdized? Nothing of what I see looks well done.

I have no issue with such conversions, but for goodness sake keep the car looking otherwise genuine.

Here in the UK there's a garage that specialises in EV conversions.
A customer got a quote: £60000!

Ford just announced they will sell an EV crate motor. Supposedly around $3,500 with harness but without controller and without battery. Probably looking at 10K for a working package

It looks like the price is approaching the cost of an engine overhaul. So maybe this will be the moment to think about this?

Well the $10K is just the hardware and just as with an engine rebuild (or any work on cars really), the labor to install everything will add a considerable amount to the tab. Could well be another $10-20K?
My son and I decided we'll convert a Porsche 912 in the near future so we will find out how it all works.

I think in Europe we will have probably a big problem to get the necessary permits for the registration of such EV?
I do not checked this yet, but it can be not easy.
As you know the old Indian proverb says, that all arrows are aimed at the first :-)

Seat redo is easy.
The 5-speed sure is interesting.
I just wonder if it's a total hack job or done well.
Just poor presentation from the BAT no sale.
I would have kept the Ford V8 in it.

I have seen a documentary on tv, of a US company that makes complete kits for the porsche 911, its take less than 2 days to convert.
They use Tesla parts from accident cars. might be worth to google.

It is "relatively easy" to put an electric motor and a matching transmission into a CEV. But how about the battery? This thing is big and needs cooling. I would be suspicious of any job like that being done properly in 2 days. Not that it really matters, because I will not convert any of the cars I have to EV. 8)

In this kit the motor is placed in a steel frame and directly bolts onto the frame as is the batterypack.
Most time is spend to convert the dash instruments.

It doesn't look worth it since it will not go 80 miles on a charge. The description says it will only go 49 MPH unless you change the gears. The cosmetic condition of the car is bad also. Not worth the asking price in my opinion.

Very impressive - bolt-in kit with no permanent modifications to the existing vehicle.
