Title: Rear axle camber
Post by: 2rsan on July 05, 2021, 20:48:37
Hi, after restoration the rear axle has a positive camber of 3 deg. All springs are the same. Does not look right.
What can be wrong?

Have you driven the car at all? When the Pagoda is up in air with the wheels hanging, they will give a positive camber as they sag. When the car is down the wheels take time to re-adjust. That is the usual item. After a short drive they usually come back to the normal position.

Not a bad idea to double check the bolts, shocks etc to be sure all are okay.

Yes the car was been driven and I am aware of the problem you decribe  ;) ;)
I see now in the part manual that the upper spring rubber grommet comes in different hights. Will check what is on the car. Any other suggestions?

Things that can affect rear camber:
Spring cushions.
Spring platforms.
Centre spring (and its cushion)
Rear axle centre mounting.
Rear axle pivot bush being incorrectly installed.
Carbon fiber panels.  ;)
