Title: Simple "kill switch"?
Post by: GM on May 02, 2021, 01:13:31
If I remove fuse #4 for the fuel pump is this an effective way to immobilize the car while parked overnight at a hotel?

I will write a PM on what I did. Not very clever, obviously, but just an idea.

It is definitely a very effective way I have the first-hand experience when my number 4 fuse failed and I had to be picked up by a flatbed truck. Then that is another story.

I will also PM you what I do to disable starting the car.

I would love to receive PMs too from both of you regarding the same subject, if I may… Thanks!

It seems everybody is being secretive about their kill switches 🤣. This has been discussed several times.

Here is just one post.

Another effective way if you have a Bluetooth 123 ignition is the immobilizing facility that it has, whereby you immobilize the car with your mobile phone App and then have to input an unlocking code to get it going again..... this is a side benefit of installing an 123 ignition - Bluetooth enabled though.....

I dont leave my car anywhere..... So Ill share publicly. A prior owner added a race car master switch to one of the battery cables. Its only visible when on the ground at the bumper. Ill likely remove it, but have not yet bothered.
