What happened to our W113 registry? I can't seem to find it on our website.

It’s in the Technical Manual section.

We discussed the topic of registration database at our last board meeting. Registration is a complicated issue, due the fact that some members do not want their car VIN or Serial number along with their name and location posted on the website for security reasons which we can understand.  Also registration requires a significant amount of time to be constantly updated once a car changes ownership.

We are looking a several options to address these issues but will take some time to investigate and will post when we have a viable solution.

Thank You,
Alex Djuric

Thank you for the info. It's always a wonderful tool for members to have car clubs keep an extensive data base of cars produced.

Adding to Alex‘s reply, I believe there are also some European Union regulations about personal information, and how we can hold it. This is in addition to the security issue that worries some people personally.

Oh yes, there are! The whole new GDPR law. I would have thought a written consent might be needed, but I am sure we have lawyers here.

We only put stuff in the registry that members have sent in.

If you've supplied the info for the registry, you have given consent. Some of us have used our real names in the registry, others the forum name. The rest of the info is non-personal and therefore not in conflict with the GDPR.
