Title: Hood spring

Hello

 First time I'm posting a question for the group so I may not be doing it properly. Sorry.

 I'm trying to replace the hood spring on my 280sl and it doesn't seem to have the correct position to provide springiness.

Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

There are a lot of posts on removal of the bonnet and the hood spring including this in our Tech Manual
