Title: Photo of [hardtop] rear window defogger switch installed
Post by: mdsalemi on January 27, 2021, 17:53:42
Anyone have a working and or installed hard top with the rear window defogger switch? Looking to see how and what this looks like and exactly where mounted. I may have one in my boxes of parts (my hard top has the glass and dangling cord for it) but I want to know what I'm looking for!

Here you go. From a German web site (eBay auction?).

Thanks Alfred...what is the second switch for?

(PS the photo is exactly what I was looking for...now to see if the restorer removed that stuff and threw it in a box I have...)

The green switch is usually for a red, rear mounted fog light required in some countries in Europe back in the day.

Michael,
the switch for the rear fog light is described here in detail: https://www.sl113.org/wiki/Electrical/Foglights
And the defroster switch and wiring was discussed here: https://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=28612.0
Good luck!
