OK, just a thought provoking question...
How many AMGs and GLA class cars does MB have to sell in order to recoup their investment in such a contract?

Presently he's the only F1 driver unsigned for the 2021 season. And, if you read deep enough into the article, no unassigned seats making retirement likely; can't jump ship if there is no ship to jump to.

There is so much misinformation surrounding Lewis Hamilton that I do not even read it. Lewis and MB will have a contract in place prior to the start of the 2021 season and all the conspiracy theorists with have to focus on another story.

Given how closely the F1 teams give details of any contracts, or the discussions around them, very close to their chests, I would be very cynical of an such ‘news’. MB would certainly not leak information which could lead to Lewis walking away, he is far too valuable to them.
Even if true, so what! He’s an exceptional driver and at the end of the day all drivers have a relatively short ‘shelf life’. Good luck to him is someone wants to pay him what this allegedly here. Even if MB don’t want to pay him what he would like, I don’t think there is any F1 team that would not jump at the chance of having him on board, even if they breach contracts with those they have already signed up. So no chance he would be without a ‘seat’.
When I think of what footballers get paid a week, for running around kicking a ball and reacting to any slightest touch by an opponent player with full amateur dramatics, and not good ones at that!, F1 certainly offer value for money.
This is just the typical jealous thing and trying to to pull successful people down to make themselves feel better. It’s time for folks to grow up and praise success and brilliance instead of whining away.
