Hi folks
Bought a repro tool pouch for Bessy Benz but unfortunately no logo inside. I have a friend who can do screen printing who said he could do for me if I could obtain a high quality image.
Hence I’m reaching out to you genius’s to see if anyone may be able to help?
Thanks
Katie

Yes. I have it. I can also tell you how to apply using normal home printer.
I don’t know when this logo has been used in the tool kits. I have seen original 250 & 280 kits with and without the logo.

Here is a picture of a “high quality” reproduction 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Hiya
So how may I get a copy and the advice on how to transfer?
😁
-
I believe I have your email address already from you sending me the 230 blueprint. I will send it with instructions in a bit👍
-
Katie, I took it to the stamp shop and had a stamp made. Then a bit of practice and I stamped it. Costed me maybe $10 including an ink pad that I did not really need.

Email sent!

If you got it in good resolution from mrfatboy - that is what the stamp shop can use.

Thank you!
Safely received😁

I just checked mine and it is original with the car and no stamping. I'm the second owner and have had the car since 1982. I found the complete tool kit under the front seat and the original owner never knew it was there.

250 SL original kit with car, no stamp

This has been discussed many times... The conclusion was that, in fact, not all of those had logo stamped.

Here is a picture of Tyler S’s Aug 67 250sl tool bag.

Folks,
Phony tool bags and tool kits are kind of like putting wire rims on a Pagoda. If you like them, sure, enjoy them. But If I am buying that car, those wheels are the first things coming off.
Jus sayin. Where is your sense of adventure?
Mike
As someone who hunts down rare Pagoda Tools on German Classified lists, writing requests in my simple German. One is coming next week.

Sense of adventure lost when locked down and getting bored, so finding toys instead. Given I’ve done other ‘modern’ mods to the car, and not looking for factory original as such. Also wanted red one which seems as common as hens teeth to find!
Just having some fun, especially as some nasty person outbid me on UK eBay when an original one did come up, hope wasn’t one of our members! But then again it was tan which didn’t fit in with the colour scheme 🤣

This is the gentleman who made a new one, certainly not original, for me and I found it quite ok. I had an e-mail exchange with him on what kind of snaps to use (with a logo of the brand used originally):
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-Benz-230SL-250SL-280SL-NEW-TOOL-BAG/142071815016
I gave up on original due to usually "worn" condition and fairly high prices of better ones.

Hi,
I found this logo on my old /8 tool bag too.

This is the chap I’ve bought from, nice red one! Hopefully arriving on UK shores soon 😄.

I've got an original red one (will have to look to see if it is stamped), but only sell the whole complete kits at a very reasonable $1,050 USD plus freight, including the plastic screwdriver. The wooden fluted ones are extra. I think I have 7 more complete kits in my collection. And no, I can't sell my Special Lubrication Kit. I don't sell anything on ebay. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Thanks Mike
Unfortunately I have now purchased a repro tool pouch and had acquired the tools earlier (although still searching for the utopia of the wooden handled screwdriver!).
Certainly is a good price though, I think authentic classics were charging around $1600 for a complete kit but with a repro tool pouch!

Looks like you got several great pics of the logo. In any case. Here are two with the highest resolution my little camera allows.
