Title: W11X Boot/Trunk Carpet W111

It seems odd that he carpet sent goes under the spare wheel and nothing was sent to go on the LHS of the boot.  Is this correct ... I feel like I'm missing something here.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think these cars came with carpet in the boot/trunk. I think just the standard rubber center mat and then a slim mat in the left cavity. That is mostly the reason why there can be so much rust on the trunk floor. The metal sweats and the rubber mat retains it.

I have a cocomat in my trunk and is useful. It has the little dimples on the back side and allows a bit of air circulation.

There is just a rubber mat in the W11 but 2 in the Pagoda

There are some W111s with the slim mat in the left side well. See attached. Not sure if that is on earlier cars, but some had it. They do not sell that mat now though, just the large center mat.
I made one for my '68 from a scrap piece. BTW, that is not my W111, but another on the web.

I was sent the wrong carpet set so I'll have some spare carpet that I can make a mat for the left side...
