Title: European DMV requirements

Would anyone know what were the '60's era DMV requirements for items like Warning Triangle (Warndreick), Tack-on-blue First Aid Kit (Verbandkasten), Fire extinguisher or anything else were?  Specifically what were the Germany requirements.  I am aiming toward authenticity for my '65 Germany market 230SL.

Triangle was required in Italy and England when I was living there in late ‘60s.  First aid kit and extinguisher, no.  Don’t know about Germany but fairly sure triangle was required also.  Ohers here will know.  This was pre-EEC so the rules were not consistent throughout Europe.

Hi,
in Germany First Aid Kit is mandatory since 1.1.1966, Warning Triangle since 1.5.1968, Fire Estinguisher never.

Thanks WRe; would there be a source, regulation no. or citation that I can add to show documentation, or can you point me to a DMV site or something where I can pull some reg #

Today the specific rules are anchored in the road traffic regulations, in German "StVO" (Straßenverkehrsordnung).
For example:
- Section 35h First aid material in motor vehicles (https://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/stvzo_2012/__35h.html)
- Section 53a StVO: Warning triangle, warning light, hazard warning lights, warning vest (https://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/stvzo_2012/__53a.html)
