Title: Removing dash leather trim

It looks like I have to drop the steering column to do this...?

Just loosen it a bit. However the two bolts that need loosened are behind the instruments! :(

I removed my entire dash pieces without removing the steering column. Mine is a 280SE and I know the dash is a bit different than the 220SE and 250SE. The lower dash pieces are split at the column. Are yours?

On my 63 220 that piece is all one. I have removed it but the column was out at the time. Probably to get to the bolts Joe was talking about !
