Title: Rear Glass For Hardtop
Post by: StevenF on May 13, 2020, 23:43:36
I posted about my broken electric glass and after research have come to the understanding that it is NLA.

I have a choice to purchase clear or tinted.  It was recommended to me to at the very least that I purchase glass and a proper seal should I decide to repair or sell down the road due to the fact that parts for our cars are always avaiable today and gone tomorrow.

Should I buy clear or tinted??? I terms of value, what is my best choice?

Best Regards
Steven

I hope that all my fellow Pagoda family is staying safe and healthy!

Is your door and hard top side window glass clear or tinted? If you find a source for rear tinted glass, let me know.

Here is what I found at MB on rear glass pane:

Clear glass: A 113 678 00 10 for 113044 with a SA 55630/03 and /04 note "imitation leather trim" @ ca $450.

Tinted: A 113 678 01 10 for 113044 with SA 55608 and /04 heat absorbing glass used with hard top @ ca $800.

Tinted or clear - I think the first step is to say what was originally there and/or what type are other windows.

Your option code for tinted and heated rear glass was 249.  Do you have the data card to check if it came with the tinted glass?
Otherwise it will be option code 246, 247 or 248 for non tinted but heated.
