Hi just a bit confused about buying a replacement steering wheel for my 250sl?
I have just agreed to buy this one in the photo, will it fit ok? Only seems to have one locating hole, appreciate any comments thanks.

Depends if you have an early or late 250SL.
The interior was changed Summer of 1967 (from Chassis No 2980 onwards).  The steering wheel in your picture is early.

Hi, it is an early model but a bit confused about the one hole on the side of centre, some I have seen have two, I have not yet removed my wheel but it is the early type?

Hi Richo

Have you read the Steering Wheel section in the Technical manual ?
Mine (early 250SL) has 2 holes, but then I do not know what the holes are for. Otherwise your wheel looks pretty similar to mine.

Keep well

Paul

Hi Guys,
Are the holes not perhaps to pop the centre pad and star emblem?
Regards

My black one does - about 4o'clock. I sort of play with it while driving.
