Having owned one myself once I can say some of it is nice but the white stitching on the dash is pure kitsch. Not worth that kind of money but hey, who knows?

I'll keep my personal commentary about the car itself to myself, but I will say that people have a lot of ideas.....not all of them are good.  However, there is a good moral to this......this is a perfect example of having to put much more into a car one loves than it'll ever be worth.  I certainly commend and respect the amount of time, money, and thought put into this.  Whatever the intended end result was, it seems to have been executed rather well.

With some things, it's also about taking care of what you are responsible for. Like our house in France, it has a second house on the property that is historic but when we bought it in 2008 it was in disrepair. We coukd have torn it down, 13th century pigeon tower and all, but instead restored it, even though that investment will never be recouped. We just consider it our responsibility to maintain while we are the temporary custodians.
I would not do that to the same extent this owner did for this "Grosser".
