Title: 230 SL Injection Pump linkage adjustment question
Post by: Paul Cain on March 22, 2020, 20:00:05
I've looked in the factory service manual and can't find answer

Question: What is the procedure to set the enrichment linkage on the side of the 230 SL injection pump.  Some photos to assist....

If someone has the answer I would be happy to document it for future reference.  Thanks in advance.

From what I know: stay away from this. You have other strings to pull. This is adjusted by a specialist with a special equipment.

If you loosen this pinch screw fitting, you are lost   :o.
It is a basic FI Pump setting, and it can only be adjusted by means of a test bench procedure with special tools.

This linkage is set at the factory or during IP re-build. It should never be tampered with otherwise. You might try carefully looking for any "witness marks" to return it to it's original position.

@Pawel66  @mbzse and ja17.  Thank you three. Same conclusion. The pump is now out and will get boxed up to go to the rebuilder for realignment.   Thank you all for the quick conclusion.
