Title: MB 3.5 part needed

Looking for the black square part that goes on the dash it surrounds the round key hole not sure what they call it thanks for your help

I'm assuming you have a W111 coupe` or cabriolet since you mention that the part you're after is square in shape. There were two different versions used, so make sure you get the right one.  The two part numbers are 111-689-57-30 and 111-689-58-30.  Right now there is one on ebay in Germany for around 56 Euros.  He apparently has a lot of them.  He denotes the version he has is the 111-689-57-30   Link below
