Let me try this again. My son in Arizona has a 1971 280sl, passed down 3 generations. Car has had work done, but needs major interior, engine and transmission restoration. Not looking for a complete restoration for resale, just want to keep car running so can be passed down to my grandson. Can transport car to wherever work can be done. Any reputable names will be greatly appreciated.

I can recommend a shop here in SoCal, Escondido CA more specifically - Silver Star Mercedes, mechanic Franz Stapley. He has been my mechanic and friend for better than 10 years and tends very nicely to mine. He takes Pagodas personally!

Dennis Montalbano of German Auto Repair in Fresno has done multiple Pagoda restorations and is currently advising and assisting me on my own restoration. His pricing is lower than other restorers as Fresno costs are considerably lower. He does excellent work.

I had my mechanical work done at Bremen Motor works in Orangevalle, CA. Ernie Koch brought my car “back to life” in 2010.
