It.is well known I believe that the throttle switch on the pagoda throttle activates (closes) when the butterfly is fully closed and gives a signal to the 3 position solenoid on the auto box to move so that the lowest pressure is selected on the box to facilitate smoother downshifts.
Although the obvious it stated in the technical manual that the switch is a activated when the throttle is fully closed (see also linkage.tour article as to how to get a properly closing theottle) this is not as simple as it sounds since the switch sometimes does not close ontime for a million reasons having to do with rod adjustments, throttle pedal adjustment, worn or sticking joints to name but a few.
Niw this switch has a small adjustment tolerance when being fixed on the throttle body ( can be turned to the left or right a little bit). I have found out that by adjusting this switch to close a little bit earlier than fully closed throttle position - maybe by as much as a millimetre- car runs a lot better all the time ironing out any issues mentioned earlier. Car runs and down and upshifts 100% ok all the time now.
