Title: 1969 280 SL PPI
Post by: thelews on October 31, 2019, 17:21:53
Looking for a knowledgeable member for a PPI on a 1969 280 SL that is very original and unmolested with 94K miles on it.  2nd owner (who I know) of 40 years looking to sell to a friend of mine.  I've never seen the car, only pics.  Car is in Golden, CO, north Denver area.

So, if there isn't a member out in the Denver area to help, are there any suggestions for a professional well-versed in Pagoda?

I tried searching the site for "Denver" and came up with this:

......  Langston Stu Ritter Mercedes-Benz 1250 S. Inca Denver, Co. 80223 303.698.2431 mark@sturitter.com www. ......

I know nothing about this info but it might be worth a call to the (303) 698-2431 number.

Try the same search and look at response 3 and 4 for additional suggestions.

I would talk to Mark at German Motors in Lakewood, CO probably only 4 or 5 miles from Golden. Very experienced and knowledgeable about the older cars. He just tuned my 280SL and replaced all of the sub frame and motor mounts. Did a great job.  I bought my first Mercedes from the shop's prior owner in 1976.

Thanks!  Didn't talk to Mark, but did one of his guys.  They'll be happy to do a PPI and of course, tend to any of the cars needs.  Sounds like just the experienced German shop we need.

Appreciate the lead.
