Title: Sway bar kit.......One size fits all?
Post by: Mike H on October 14, 2019, 10:56:53
My sway bar is 22mm in diameter, on a 64 230 Sl.
I need to replace the rubbers, and all is accounted for in a repair kit, which is cheaper than buying just rubbers.
Some suppliers make a distinction between the size of the bar mounting rubbers.....22mm and20mm.
I made an inquiry on a kit from Authentic Classics and they say their kit fits both.
The kit shows only 2 mount rubbers included.
Has anyone fitted  one of their kits to a 22mm bar...and any thoughts on one size fits all.?
Thanks,
Mike.

Yes there are kits that include both the diameters so it fits all 113's.

I have the 250sl ( early model) .
Which sway bar bushing should I buy? 22mm or 20?

Mauro,
Why wouldn't you just measure it to be sure?
I bought mine from SLS and they differentiate between 20 and 22mm. Fits perfect. (66-230sl)

If you care about originality at all don't buy the Febi Bilstein kit.  it is wildly off the mark.

I will lay under the car to measure the diameter of the sway bar. I just wanted to know in a more comfortable way
