It is all described in the workshop manual - or BBB as it is called here. High time to buy one! ;)

If you haven't yet gotten a BBB (and you should!) and you gotta know tonight, you can google the part numbers + Mercedes or Bosch and oft times the answer will be there. Jon

It is also describe in the Haynes Repair Manual, page 82, you can buy this at every good bookstore.

I find this appaling. You guys, I am sure, all know what these parts are and rather than telling him, you go to great lengths of coming up with ways for him to find out on his own.
Guys like me, who do not know their SL inside out come to these forums to get help from others who know.
If all we get is being told to "google" it, we don't need a forum.

Mike,
hold your horses and read my post again!
In addition to suggesting to buy a BBB I also showed him in the attached copy exactly what his parts are, identified as # 4,5,9, 29 and names spelled out in the legend. It even shows how these units are interconnected.
What else do you want that we provide?

Teahead,
There is a great discussion in the Technical Manual of these components. They are part of the "Emissions Control" section under "electrical".
