Wanted - I have an auxiliary tool kit from which I am missing three tools:
- Water pump pliers - small - 125mm long - part number 005231 125000
- 6 x 7 mm box wrench part number 000887 008000 (wrenches were either Heyco 450 or Walter 465)
- 9 x 11 mm box wrench part number 000837 009000 "
Part numbers are shown on the parts list that came in the kit. Photographs of the missing tools are attached.
Many thanks
John

John,
I found a complete kit last year. I have many original tool kits, but have not found heyco closed end box wrenches the size that you mention. The pliers are remarkably scarce. If I find nay, I will let you know.

Thanks, Mike.

Hi John, would you mind telling us ,re the wrenchs you require
are they for a 63--71 Pagoda, reason for asking i have owned both
65 now, and a 71 18 years ago , both never had closed end boxed spanners.
i would really be interested to know ,as im trying to find one particular open end
spanner right now to complete my kit, a open end dowidat 17==13, the one in my tool kit is a Walter,
so if any body has a dowidat that size , i would purchase it, or swamp my Walter.
regards.

The wrenches I am seeking are for the Auxiliary/Lubrication Tool Kit that was a rare option for the Pagoda. This was a supplementary, accessory kit to the tool kit that came with the cars. Very few were sold, hence the difficulty in locating the parts.

John

Thanks for explaining that John, sorry to be so dumb, must be very hard to obtain,
i do have another pair of Merc pliers, but in a storage shed probably not the numbers you want,
but will check over the weekend, regards Wayne.

Wayne, Attached is a picture of my tool kit. The original kit was stolen in shipment to USA in 1970 and this "new" kit was purchased from MB the same year as a replacement. The pliers on the left are the same as the originals except they do not have the Mercedes star that they should have. These are very difficult to find. If you have an extra set of these with the Star emblem, I would be interested to purchase.
I have several extra open-end MB spanners in various sizes similar to those in the attached picture. I am pretty sure they are dowidat. Unfortunately I am several thousand miles from my Pagoda and related "stuff" for a few months. I can have a look and see what I have that might be of help to you when I am back in Alabama in November......if you don't find in the meantime.
-
Ralph, thats very interesting, thank you for taking a look later on re the Dowidat spanners.
Yes i will certainly take a look this week end at pliars, probably not the same, as i have only
had set i have now, and the 71 i owned years ago that tool kit went with car , also had a 1973
450 SL in NewZealand, perhaps they are from that, but will let you know.
Also noticed in your kit, looks like the screw driver handle is plastic, mine is similiar but handle is wood,
has on it Felo DBGM, im not say yours in wrong, but would be interested to now if 68-71 went to plastic handle.
Many thanks Wayne.

.../... screw driver handle is plastic, mine is similiar but handle is wood.../...
The Felo screw driver in the (basic) tool kit had a black painted wooden handle up until at least autumn of 1968.
After that, handle was indeed plastic.
Some discussion can be read in old threads in our Forum here, see for instance

Wayne, I look forward to hearing further from you on the Heyco slip joint pliers when you have time to check.
My memory is not as good as it once was so I might need a reminder in November to check on the Dowidat wrenches. :-[

My car was January, 1969, production. As Hans indicates the plastic handle would be correct for my car.
The earlier wooden handle ones are extremely scarce now.
-
Wayne, I can't really read the pic, but if the Water Pump Pliers say H300 on them, then it is correct for the Pagoda. None of these wrenches are correct for the Special Lubrication kit.
Good Luck.

I think the pliers pictured by Wayne in posts #7 and #11 are from his “keeper” set not the possible extra pliers he is going to look for this weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed!🤞🏻
-
Hi Ralph, sorry bad news, its friday night here, checked the other pliers,
and no good, not want you want,----photos, But i will PM you about a possible out come.

Wayne, I saw these at Mercedes vendor booth in the parts hall at a large Auto/moto fair in Padova this weekend. All dowidat but no 17= =13. Also no Heyco 300s :-X As expected the hall was dominated by Italian Mark Vendors so not a lot to choose from.
-
Thanks Ralph , for showing that kit, interesting.
will let you know if i ever obtain correct pliars.
Wayne.

Sorry but IMHO you won't ever find a Dowidat 13/17 spanner... (with a Mercedes Star)
All spanners of that size that we have seen are made by Walter, and Alfred also found a Heyco one.
The 13/17 type never was a part of the tool kit supplied from factory in our W113's
