Putting together the engine of a 230sl and have this bracket that I can't find where it goes! I've gone through all the photos I've taken and can't see it anywhere. I'm pretty sure it's from the engine as it was sent away with the engine linkages when they were plated. Thanks in advance! Keith.

it looks like the bracket that holds the oil line on the back of the FIP to the block.

Great job I'll take a look this morning. Thanks!

Or to support the dip stick for the engine oil. I think the 230 SL had this, mine (280 SL) does not.

Such great comradery between 'All' on this Forum. Its needed, and the time spent replying is precious and well appreciated by the people in need of answers for conclusions to their dilemna. I too will need answers in the future to my questions ('70 28SL). Thank you!
Cheers and God Bless,

I think I could write my University thesis on this one: https://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=27036.msg193732#msg193732

Similar to the bracket that goes on the upper throttle body stud to hold the fuel line to the cold start injector.

Now as you said that - yes! I also think it is this one!
