All I can say is I am jealous as hell!  If there is one item on the top of my bucket list that would be it.

Please post pics as progresses.

Man, what a classic design! Almost as good as the Pagoda itself. You know you have it made when people drool over both your car AND garage.

How many cars can fit in there? Looks like you have a solar panel on the roof. Was that your design or mandated by a local code?

I hope all goes well with the construction. Anytime frame to completion? Please post pictures!

Looks great Garry,, will you have a lift for the cars ? Bet you can't wait for completion.

I find the planners here work for the department of non planning.

Keep well

it is to my design and i was trying to make it look like an oldcarriage house and using second hand bricks to get the old look.  It’s behind a Victorian era house so should fit in.

There are three bays, two are end on end. each bay is 7 x 5 meters so plenty of room and yes a hoist in the rear of the double long bay. There is a small store between.  All lined. And yes some solar panels on top and batteries as part of the main house power setup.

Build will be to frame with roofing by the time i leave here at end of June for USA for the long drive and will finished by the time we are back home after Pagodafest in October. They are then going to get stuck into a major renovation of the main house. All in all a year of building and disruption but a bucket list thing ticked off.

Wow gorgeous Garry. Beautiful and classic brick façade design.
Is there need for dehumidification in your climate with slab on grade?
Good luck with your aggressive time schedule.
...ahead of schedule and under budget.

Ah, the good old Australian "Shed". Here in the UK our sheds are somewhat less spacious!

Seems like the round window above that door in your shed could be easily re-fashioned into three glass panes to form a "Mercedes Star" !  Maybe even a stained glass "Mercedes Logo"

Joe, I should have thought of that when building it.  Will have to think how to fix that oversight.
