Title: Painting of Hubcaps
Post by: mbzse on April 25, 2019, 10:46:24
The subject of how to paint or re-paint the hubcaps of our SL's has been discussed several times in our Forum.
I happened to see some useful info in this website (scroll down a bit):
http://www.mbzponton.org/ponton3/colorcht/colorcht.htm (http://www.mbzponton.org/ponton3/colorcht/colorcht.htm)

Note, the info about paint shade inside bumpers, and base colour of body (primer) is applicable for our W113's as well.

Nice link, I would second the person's comment about using the almond from Rustoleum for the inside of the bumpers, etc. I have used that several times, and it is a very, very good match. AND easy to find.
I have done the masking tape approach a couple of times, and would emphasize the need to remove the tape before the paint dries. You do have to be careful to not touch any of the painted surfaces!
