Title: Assorted 230SL Parts
Post by: jpinet on April 01, 2019, 21:39:21
I sold my 1965 230SL and I have some parts left over that I thought may be of use to other owners.
Prices in US$ shipping not included

 Included:
2 gaz filters; new price is 12$ea. I sell both for 15$ SOLD
1 fuel filter Oring: free with the gaz filters above; 3$ value SOLD
1 metal manifold gasket: 5$
1 tension seal: 5$
2 valve shims : 2.5 and 3.5 mm  15$ each
1 set window guide with plastic insert and screw: 30$
15 steel pins that hold the small hubcaps on rims: all for 30$
2 sets of 2 crankshaft seals: 10$ ea.
1 assortment of stickers. 5$ for the lot SOLD

I also have:
1 complete set of front and rear bumpers for 230SL, I believe original (used and somewhat pitted) 300$
Assorted glass and door rubbers 10$ ea. SOLD

I'd rather they be in use than laying in a box 'till death does us part!

I think I made good prices, but if I'm wrong, let me know!

Thanks!

I'm interested in buying the clips to hold the small hubcaps on if they are the right ones...can you please send a picture of the clips and the style hubcap?  I own a 1965 230SL Germany market pagoda and I'm missing some clips for my hubcaps.  thanks

Hi. I'm overseas for a few days. I'll send a photo and part number when I'm back. But I believe there is only one kind of pin for the early hubcaps. My car was a '65 and purchased in Germany by military personnel and brought back to Canada. I'd be curious to compare VIN numbers to see how close they were as siblings!

hello Koolmarca, note that these are pins rather than clips.
The early Sudrad wheels used pins to secure the small hubcaps (picture below). The beauty-rings were secured to the wheel with clips. respectfully,,charles

Koolmarca, not sure if you ever got a response regarding the clips or not, but last year I bought two dozen of the clips from Sam at EUROCARS LLC:

Sam McCready

The clips were used and considerably less than any new ones I could find.  good luck, Charles
