Title: Seat cross members
Post by: swood1 on March 14, 2019, 15:00:35
Hi all,

Just welding in a new seat cross member (the large panel in the middle that the seat bolts too), am I correct in assuming this should be perfectly horizontal to the body otherwise the seats will be wonky?  The new panel I have looks to be too high on the outer edge (closest to the sill), I reckon it's about 10mm too high as supplied  (compared to the original), but shall check again this evening.

Regards

Steven

Someone in Europe is adding coil springs to the bottom frame of the seat.

I'm not sure that would help with much unless you found the seat too hard...  The better option maybe to add something that would allow for height adjustment surely.

I am going to modify my panels to make them horizontal as cannot see why they would ever need to be sloping.
