Title: Rear Glass for Hard Top (heated)
Post by: hlblanton on February 11, 2019, 23:10:32
My '71 lost its lid somewhere in its 45 journey from Germany to my garage. I bought a very nice replacement for a decent price (happily, in the proper color so no need for that.) It has a couple of defects.  The headline is trash and the rubber is no good. So I ordered and got replacements and the top is now at my trusted interior shop for installation. However, I also have a bit of a crack in the rear glass. They can pull it and reinstall no problem, but I'd like to get this right. Oh, and it has the rear heated defog which works.

I know this has been discussed in the past here, but what I found was quite a few years old so I'm hoping there is better, more current info.  From what I've seen, someone sources rear glass without the heating. I'd love to know who makes that. Second, is the golden ticket out there - used or good repro glass WITH heating?

Thanks a ton for any help.

I was searching for heated rear glass too. Feels like a hen's tooth. Very interested if there is a source.

I have rear window glass here from hard tops I've parted out. Not an easy thing to ship though.
