The old alternator has all threaded studs. I'm installing a rebuilt 35A alternator, Bosch AL64X, which uses a 3-prong (male studs) connector for the voltage regulator (see attached pic). This is not the 3-spade connector style I've seen on 55A alternators.
Anyone know the part number or have a source for the connector?

Hi,
this could be this connector: https://www.sls-hh-shop.de/main/en/mercedes-230-280sl-w113-/15-electrical-equipment-at-engine/15-c-starter-and-generator/cable-con-3-pole-alternato-p-5530.
If you change from a 55A to a 35A alternator you should consider that the 55A version often has an internal regulator if so you need an extra (external) regulator for your 35A alternator.

Guten morgen & vielen danke, WRe.
That is indeed the connector I need. Any idea what the Mercedes part number is? I can't find that connector on the part listing site. https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/epc/mercedes/1/113/ (https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/epc/mercedes/1/113/)
I appreciate the extra advice. I'm staying with a 35A externally regulated alternator and have already replaced the VR.

I think for 113.043 I get A 004 545 92 28 in EPC, but please verify...

Hi,
Sorry I couldn't find the original spare part number but Pawels number looks good.

Excellent! Pawel, thank you.
Which parts diagram site do you use?

113.043, US Version, Electrical Equipment and Instruments.
Hope it is correct.
