Title: Euro headlamp modifications

I just purchased euro headlamps (2 for $1000,00 from Vintage Euro Parts). The plan is to reuse the USA chrome trim rings. The other postings say that some tab has to be ground down with a Dremel. Which tab on the trim ring or headlamp?

I recently switched my USA headlamps to Bosch, used Euro. The chrome trim rings will fit either, without modification to the rings, but to remove them from the USA units you will have to break, or grind off, plastic tabs that are integral part of the USA assembly. This may ruin the USA units, but maybe you don't care. I opted to get another pair of chrome rings, also used, in order to preserve the USA units as original.
