Yesterday I participated in the local MBCA section's winter outing. Under cloudy skies with the temperature hovering at the freezing point, we made a 110 mile run starting from the Birmingham Hilton Hotel after a hearty breakfast. We drove over the scenic high plateau between Springville and Oneonta and then visited and drove across three covered wooden bridges in Blount County with a stop at Palisades Park scenic lookout. The last morning stop was at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament (olamshrine.com) near Hanceville, AL.
The day was completed with an extended lunch in downtown Cullman (formerly Kuhlmann) a town founded by German immigrants in the 1870s.
This run will be one of the featured Rallyes at StarFest 2018 in May of this year (https://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=27026.0).

Looks to be a very nice run. Were you the only Pagoda?? Looks like there is a gold 116 chassis. Any other of the older cars?

Jon, Mine was the only Pagoda and the oldest car participating. Next oldest was the gold 116, a one owner 1978 model, also factory delivered. It is the daily driver of Dr. Jim Roberts national secretary of MBCA.
