Interesting post on gullwingmotorcars.com, I think it is: a 300SE coupe retro fitted with a 6.3 engine. I don't know who did it, but it does not look up to the standard of the famous M100 looney tuner, Karl Middelhauve. Does anyone know this car?

Jim?
Which one? :o

The only 6.3 I see there is an SLS AMG.
Would have been great "to find" one (survivor) of the (supposingly three??) 300 SE W112C Coupé(s) that Erich Waxenberger converted into 6.3 liter cars. ;)

Jim: There was one that has appeared at the German car show in Oley (Reading) PA several times. Visually nondescript but mechanically sound, or so it appeared. Off-white with 6.3 on the trunk. If there is interest I can ask the promoter, he will probably know the car and its owner. Jon

Jon,
that off white may be (the first?) one modified by Karl Middelhauve, the 600 Guru.
Achim,
I read somewhere that these three "original" 6.3 Coupe prototypes had been used by MB executives for a while and had then been distroyed. It would really be great for one to resurface!
