This thread will have information on 2015 PUB attendees and caravans. As we receive official registrations, we will periodically update this thread, so that attendees can coordinate travel plans and caravans.

Traveling to PUB From the East
All I know for sure at this point in time is that I will be traveling West to PUB from the East :)
If that be in my Pagoda or my C63 AMG I purchased a few weeks ago is up in the air at this point in time (much depends on the weather and if the work I planned for my Pagoda is done in time).
Also
I properly will make my way there by myself since there is very little interest in a caravan from this part of the country. To get it organized might turn out to be a headache.

Would not dream of missing this event. Please add me to the list. Also, I will speak for Chuck Taylor as he indicated he also plans to attend and we would like to be part of a caravan from Northern Virginia.

Finally got my airplane itinerary set up. Will be arriving on Thursday evening, so can assist, attend, kibitz, drink a beer (or two - thank you Alex) .... all day Friday. Departing early on Monday morning. Really looking forward to this!

My flight arrives late Friday night. I hope to find at least a small congregation of members still in the parking lot checking out the cars.

In the past 4 pubs Friday night is Pizza night . Best time of the weekend Highly recommended.

Thanks so much Joe. I have rented a car this time around. Last time Walter Klatt took me to the airport and lost out on an important part of your presentation.

Panzer is leaving earlier in the week in order to visit friends/family on his way to PUB.
To meet with the Chicago guys is certainly an option, need to contact them.
BTW talking to Gernold, he says he is planning to be there as well.

To the folks who know people who say they are coming, please get them to register soon, so I can make sure we have enough tables, chairs, etc. Just email them the post with the registration form. I need a few weeks to finalize, especially the food part. We'll be figuring that out in the next week.

I recommend that Joe copy and paste the list above with all the names that intended to come and add behind each name (Registration Recieved)
Then add a tread subject like PUB 2015 have you send in your Registration yet ???

If anyone departs and drives through Chicago on Monday 14th, I'll happily jump in as a co-driver :D instead of crowding on an airplane :-\. I have a departure from ORD on Monday at 10 pm.

I'll actually be coming from Vermont and will keep a lookout for any caravans. I've decided to trailer my car (well one of them) since I don't yet have the confidence in it to drive that far, plus I've been in Alaska all summer and won't even get back to it until a week before PUB. So she will get a piggy back ride to Ohio then driven locally, and maybe the experts can give me some tips on getting it to run right....

Use the Hotel's free shuttle from the airport, but you must call the hotel after arrival and request to be picked up.

To those who have asked about caravanning from the Chicago area.
I don't believe this is too conducive for those that don't live in the Chicago area, but BaronYoungman and I intend on leaving the area at 6:00 AM on Friday the 11th. If that doesn't work for you, send us what you propose.
Please PM me and BaronYoungman if you are interested in leaving with us or meeting up with us.
How about the other Chicago area guys?

Tom, I like your recommendation, after all we all get together to meet one another besides seeing each other's cars (if we bring them) and learn from one another's past experiances.
I think also a great help would be if someone makes out a spreadsheet that would show information on all that attend PUB like
- Member Name
- First Name
- Model he/she ownes (230,250 or 280)
- Location
- Remarks (see my note below)
If someone would prepare such a spreadsheet, then it can be sorted in three ways, First Nane, Member Name and Model. Each PUB attendant would get a copy of this and it would be an excellent tool to make notes in the Remarks Column when you meet someone.
With such a document on hand during our 2 day meet a fellow can get quick answers to questions like .... I wonder who else owns a 230 that lives near me? I wonder if he/she came across the same issues I had with (such and such). And if only one uses the remarks column for brief comments when one meets someone ... Even just putting a check mark after the name once one meets someone will make the spreadsheet worth wile.
Anyone have thoughts on this suggestion / recommendation for our PUB get together?
I am just thinking out loud here fellows ... I do this a lot as I get older ~big grin~ you might too some day :)

That is an easy spreadsheet to prepare. I used to make them all the time.
The only problem I have is how to set it up in Excel and get into this website.
OR set one up and we communicate thru emails and when the final version is made, get it somehow to Joe.
I will be in Blacklick Wednesday night.
Plenty of time to distribute.

I just reread your post.
The spreadsheet would have to be prepared in the next few days because it has to be sent out by the end of this week.
Then somehow each attendant has to fill his or hers out and send it back to someone (EX : me) . then they have to be printed and handed out at Blacklick.

of course we have a spreadsheet listing all the attendees.
How do you guys think we would print name badges and keep track of who had paid and for what?
HOWEVER, this complete spreadsheet will not be made available in digital form because we have many members who value their privacy and would not want this to be easily transmittable and available. Remember, once you put anything into an email, or on even "secure" web servers, it is no longer private.
I'll be happy to print out 60+ sheets with only the information that Rolf-Dieter has listed provided you promise to recycle the unused or discarded ones at the end of the meeting. ;)

Don't you remember your badge from 2011 and from 2009?
Of course, this year's badge will have the new logo and also show the PUB year.

It was only a recommendation / suggestion all I'm trying to do is help. You may have noted I did not include the last name of members to be part of the spreadsheet.
There would be no need to mail anything back and forth etc. the spreadsheet could be handed out when members arrive along with the name tag. In my opinion the "Name Tag" would have more privacy information then the spreadsheet don't you think?
Let's just forget about the spreadsheet handout, as I mentioned before, I was just thinking out loud and trying to help. Sometimes my thinking out loud should be kept to myself I guess :)

Hello.
From Winnipeg to Chicago is 870 miles. Google says it will take almost 14 hours. My plan is to leave our city at 5am which should get me to Chicago by 9-10pm, then, find a safe place to park for the night, and leave in the morning. I have decided to trailer my car rather than driving it because of the distance. Plus I'm not sure I trust my car to go that far yet. I can do the 6 am departure from Chicago.

Why don't you come to my place? The border crossing is only five miles from here. Going to the Blue Water Bridge would add another hour of driving not including any bridge traffic.

Mnahon, It is about a 2.5 hour drive to Dan's from Milton so I can meet you at interchange 320 on Hwy 401 at 9:30am. This is if Dan plans to leave at noon.

I was told it was 43 which is about the same as Virginia two years ago.

Mark, since yours was not in the count Saturday, It looks like 44-45 may be correct.
