Title: Child's seat floor board
Post by: tel76 on October 19, 2014, 07:28:16
On a 1968 280sl fitted with a child/kinder seat there is a plywood floor board fitted, it is located where the child would place there feet.
Was this item deleted some time after 1968 ?
The reason I ask is on the 1970 280sl I am working on this part is not in any of the boxes I have left over and the new carpet set that I have received from KMG has the carpet cut to suggest that the floor board is not fitted.

Here is the floor from a ’65 Pagoda. Wrong carpet but I have since fitted the KHM carpets in there and they fitted well.

If you had a wooden floor then you would not have anywhere for the feet to go ???

The wooden floor is fitted in the position that you see in your picture, it is a flat shaped piece of plywood that sits on top of the steel structure with carpet on top.
As stated the 1968 280sl had the wood floor, the 1970 that I am restoring does not have the wood in any of the boxes that I have left.
Can someone with a 1970 Pagoda fitted with a child's seat have a look under the carpet and inform me if a wood floor is fitted ?
